
Theatre practitioner for more than 30 years, performing, directing, researching, coaching and teaching. From Andalusia, South of Spain and based in Cluj-Napoca (Transylvania). Directs Grupo LIM&TE (International Laboratory of Music & Theatre) and TransilvaniaTheatreLab, founder member of Spiri2Art Center.
Started his career in Seville, where he worked for several theatre companies (Atalaya Teatro, Teatro Velador or Centro Andaluz de Teatro...) between 1992 and 1998 and participated in different international research theatre forums.
In 1998 He moved to UK as founder member of Northern Stage Ensemble, participating as actor in most of its productions and international co-productions (Clockwork Orange, Animal Farm, Factory Romeo & Juliet, Pandora's Box, amongst many others) and being directed by numerous directors across Europe (Emma Rice/Kneehigh T. Cornwall; Gabor Tompa/Hungarian Theatre. Cluj; Richard Gregory/ Quarantine T. Manchester; Serge Noyelle/ T. Styx. Paris, amongst others)
Between 2006 and 2012, back in his home-town, Jerez, he participated in different opera productions as actor, fight director and even as stage deputy manager. Directed flamenco dance shows for María J. Franco (Al Compas del Viento) From 2007 participe as main actor and co-writer, in three feature films: In Your Absence, Brecha and Primary!, taking him to international film festivals such as Vancouver, Tokyo, Seville, Singapore, Manila…) He has appeared in TV series as Hispania (Spain) and Plus Belle la Vi (France), and participated in the last film of Nicole García, “Mal du Pierres “ (From the Land of the Moon).
2012 was the year to move to Marseille to join Theatre NoNo. He participated also with VOC (Vivier Opera Cité) as stage director and theatre coach in the creation of two contemporary operas with groups of children, adults and seniors from the outskirts (cités) of the city. He also collaborated with singers and music professionals as Body&Voice, or Marianne Suner.
2014 took him to Bucharest (Nottara Theatre), performing The New Tenant, directed by Tompa Gabor, and directing “Acasa” with Nona Ciobanu. From 2016 he collaborated, as performer, with the Hungarian Theater in Cluj in two productions. "Pour Toujours" and "Hormons".
In 2017 he joined, as permanent member, the Hungarian State Theatre of Cluj, and moved to Transylvania. Directed “The Double Bass” (Chekov) and performed in Gabor Tompa’s production of The Merchant of Venice.
Is in Transylvania where he started to collaborate with Edo Gergely, therapist and writer. Spiri2Art Centre was born out of this relation, developing work and bridges between Art and Spirituality.
Along these years he continued proposing and organising international artists encounters in the South of Spain: Sept2&AFew! (A month artistic residence) “Y Tù De Quién Eres” (Music Theatre Laboratoy). The result of these ongoing encounters is the creation of Grupo LIM&TE in 2019. Nowadays he organises international multidisciplanary laboratorys under the name of TransilvaniaTheatreLab and produces, directs and performs his first solo performance, "The GlitchenWolf".
